This piece was inspired by a recent trip to Paris where we sat at the top of Montmartre watching the artists live in Sacre-Coeur. I was captured by their ability to use only one or two colours & create a sepia like effect, building up layers of the same colour intensifying the shade. I knew i wanted to try and create something full of the inspiration of Paris but with my classic style. The way i paint lions lent itself fully to this and i have managed to create something seamless & magical.
